What is Pragmatics?



Pragmatics is the study of the connection between context, language and meaning. It addresses issues such as what do people mean by the terms they use?



It's a way of thinking that focuses on practical and reasonable actions. It is in contrast to idealism which is the idea that one should adhere to their beliefs no matter what.
